If you love peanut butter toasts, you are going to absolutely love this recipe. Caramelized bananas are a whole game changer when combined with peanut butter. It adds so much flavor to the toast when compared to just regular sliced bananas.
Ingredients and easy swaps :
-Bananas : use nice and ripe bananas for this recipe. If you aren’t a fan of caramelized bananas, replace them with sliced apples
-Peanut butter : you can use crunchy pb if you want more texture. This can be swapped with any nut/seed butter
–Honey : To make this vegan you can use agave syrup. Brown sugar is also an excellent caramelizing alternative
–Bread : So I used sourdough for this toast because I’m honestly obsessed with how sourdough tastes, they just make everything taste so much better. But you can use any bread of your choice.
-Chia seeds: these can also be replaced with hemp seeds, flax seeds or you could just eliminate them entirely.
Pro tip: You can toast the bread for an additional crunch.
